feeling somewhat down lately, not quite sure why.

christmas tree season →
Todd told us about this place during lunch today and it spurred an unusual, warm reaction in my gut. Hayrides! I will drag people out to these wagons filled with dry, itchy straw if it’s the last thing that happens this winter holiday. And, damn it, they will all be merry.
Checking out the site reminded me of Bike & Build and one day’s spontaneous Christmas tree farm joyride...

it has been my experience that people really don’t look up enough.
europe, a year post mortem
i grabbed my backpack this evening to get it out of my roommates’ hair, and before stowing it behind a chair in my room, I noticed a funny lump protruding from its innards. upon further inspection, this turned out to be a wad of receipts, ticket stubs, and maps left over from our whirlwind trip overseas last year.
the wave of emotion that washed over the room as these papers spilled out...
